At Tight Line Construction, we were proud to design and build a 23,500 square foot aircraft hangar located in the North Bay Airport Industrial Park. This facility was the first airside building developed within the new industrial park for the City of North Bay.

By locating on this parcel of land, we were able to eliminate the high cost of storm water management, as the City of North Bay incorporated this infrastructure into the subdivision design. Working closely with the owner, our team designed the hangar to meet exact operational specifications, while ensuring the structure could be expanded in the future.

The building’s height was strategically utilized to accommodate a second and third floor area above the ground floor office space for future development. Construction was carefully coordinated with Nav Canada and local airport authorities to ensure that ongoing runway operations were not affected.

The main hangar door measures 105 feet wide by 27 feet high, allowing large aircraft to be housed within the building. The facility was designed to provide exceptional repair and rebuilding capabilities, supporting the client’s long-term growth and maintenance needs.
